Manufacturing X - The data ecosystem for Mechanical and Plant Engineering

January 16, 2024 I 5:00 - 6:30 pm CET, virtual

Executive Roundtable

In a world shaped by complex international supply chains, digitization must not stop at the boundaries of companies. Efficient and seamless data exchange along the entire supply chain enhances transparency, provides agility to respond to supply chain challenges, and paves the way for meeting future requirements, e.g. for CO2 reporting. Simultaneously, cross-company data exchange opens up new business models, such as in the field of maintenance.

Despite the high importance of cross-company data exchange, it is currently characterized by isolated solutions that hinder the establishment of a cohesive data ecosystem. Manufacturing-X aims to connect these data islands without compromising individual sovereignty.

In collaboration with VDMA and renowned industry partners such as Siemens, Trumpf, and Miele, Roland Berger explores the topic of Manufacturing-X from various perspectives in an interactive 90-minute online roundtable. Together, we aim to shed light on the following questions::

  • What exactly is behind Manufacturing-X and what significance does it have for you? (Especially in light of the European Data Act)
  • What innovative business models can be enabled by Manufacturing-X?
  • How should your company position itself to benefit from Manufacturing-X?

Our roundtable offers inspiring keynote presentations that illuminate the perspectives of component manufacturers (Siemens), machine manufacturers (Trumpf), and factory operators (Miele). The event culminates in a panel discussion that interconnects all these perspectives. Here, you also have the unique opportunity to ask your own questions and contribute to the discussion.

Be part of this exciting exchange and actively shape the future of your supply chain. We look forward to welcoming you to the Manufacturing-X Roundtable.

Kind regards

Bernhard Langefeld, Senior Partner, Roland Berger
