As the 29th session of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) approaches on November 11 in Baku, Azerbaijan, the political, philanthropic, public and business communities are eager to engage in meaningful discussions about climate action. While there are high expectations for progress, skepticism remains about certain topics.

At Roland Berger, we believe that it’s crucial to continue discussions and commitments in the implementation space. Solutions for climate mitigation and adaptation are available, but we need to bridge the implementation gap, addressing the challenges of de-risking, scaling, and financing of climate action initiatives.

Join us for our virtual event “Preparing for COP29 - bridging the gap in climate action implementation", on October 29th at 3:00 pm CET,  where you will get the insights needed for the upcoming conference.

What to expect:

  • Comprehensive COP29 preview: Our experts will provide an overview of key topics set to be addressed at COP29, preparing you for the discussions and negotiations ahead.
  • Expert insights: Gain valuable perspectives on prioritized topics at COP29 and their implications for the business community.
  • Interactive Q&A session: Engage directly with our experts and get answers to your pressing questions.

You are welcome to send us any questions you may have for the Q&A session in advance. We look forward to your participation and an interesting exchange!

Kind regards
Roland Berger Sustainability & Climate Action team
